Authors Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett enjoyed a longstanding friendship that dated back well before either had achieved the success and celebrity they would later enjoy.

Good Omens is their only collaboration, published in 1990. A quirky fable laced with black humour, the story sees an angel and a demon attempting to avert imminent nuclear armageddon. The four horsemen of the apocalypse are reinvented as bikers, and the antichrist is living in an idyllic rural English childhood, blissfully unaware of his destiny.

Neil Gaiman has now adapted the novel for an Amazon Prime TV series, due for release at the end of May 2019, and starring Michael Sheen, David Tennant, Anna Maxwell Martin and Jon Hamm.

We’ve taken inspiration from book and screen to create a Good Omens-themed image gallery, complete with angels, demons, bikers, witches, prophecies, and small boys who may or may not be the antichrist…
